Blue Öyster Cult are an Absolute Rock Music Icon, in my book.
I experienced their unbelievable live perfomances 15 times as a youngster.
This band ranks among the heavyweights of Metal History;
highly innovative, thoroughly incomparable & heavily influential to MANY.
Has there ever been a band which has so successfully combined elements of Science Fiction, horror,
mystery, intellect, cryptic imagery, dark poetry, self-mocking levity, tongue in cheek humor, high camp,
lowbrow seediness, biker bravado, balls-out metal riffage, imaginative songwriting/ structuring and crafty wordplay?
I think not!
